Who we are

Within The Hopper we’ve created a special mix of humans to help “do new things” for our tech industry clients, as well as designing initiatives to improve diversity and inclusivity throughout the industry from the grass-roots up.

What we do
Our philosophy within The Hopper is that everything we do must support one of our aims to Build, Grow and Evolve, for our client, as a company and for ourselves as individuals.

We “do new things”. We look for and develop opportunities to build new products that solve problems and drive revenue for our clients and ourselves.
Grow
Grow
We help our existing clients expand by developing growth plans, evolving new capabilities and supporting their businesses as they mature.
Evolve
Evolve
We provide services that help our clients to become more efficient and profitable, and build a higher profile. We also help devise and establish new working methods that promote diversity, inclusion and a healthy work culture.
How we do it
Our guiding principles ensure we give our absolute best to our clients, while maintaining a happy, inclusive and fulfilled team.

‘We can do this’ is always our starting point. And thanks to our tenacious approach, we know we can overcome challenges along the way. We focus on the ‘why’ behind any project, as an objective-based approach leads to the best results. If we lose sight of our aims, or don’t have enough context, we pause, reassess and ask the right questions to move forwards.
People
People
We work on projects that are often large and complex, requiring collaboration and collective experience to create the best outcomes. We work best when we feel safe, respected and valued, so we strive to be kind, considerate and authentic with each other. We look for exceptional people from diverse backgrounds, and hire for future success as well as our immediate needs.
Agility
Agility
We work fast and strive for consistent quality, but it’s better to deliver now and iterate later than wait for perfection. Everyone has a voice if something doesn’t work for them, as challenging ideas makes them stronger, but we move forward together when an idea is agreed. Failure is an opportunity to learn, and if it leads to inspiration, we can even celebrate it.
Diversity is not just a box to tick
We take inclusion and diversity very seriously indeed, recognising the business and creative imperative of differing points of view. We also understand that it’s not enough to simply be inclusive; we must encourage others to think and act inclusively too. With this in mind, we set up a Belonging, Inclusivity and Diversity committee to arrange initiatives from supporting PRIDE and hosting talks by diversity speakers, to sponsorship, mentorship, and establishing internal resources on inclusivity, neurodiversity and allyship.

Our partners’ needs come first, and we’re always alert for new ways to improve their business. That’s why they work with us. We respect the privacy and security of our partners’ intellectual property, giving them the trust to be open with us, and allowing us to do our best work.
